Implementation of Global Maternal-Child Health Programs - May 2011, Denver
PGPR's eleventh symposium was held May 2, 2011 in conjunction with the joint meeting of the Pediatric Academic Societies (PAS) and the Asian Society for Pediatric Research. The symposium focused on the critical issue of program implementation in developing countries and featured expert talks and platform presentations from abstracts selected following an international call. Workshop Information
As a follow-up to the symposium, the workshop on May 3, 2011 brought colleagues together to advance the dialogue and information regarding implementation of global maternal-child health programs. Workshop participants included the symposium presenters, representatives from NGOs, government agencies, paediatric societies, as well as paediatric and obstetric clinicians and researchers. All these groups are involved in implementation of maternal-child health programs and their input during and after the workshop are most important. At the completion of the workshop, working groups were charged with the task of continuing to work together after the workshop on the matters they have defined.
